Most family members who have been on the rollercoaster of addiction have faced overwhelming circumstances. In the crisis of addiction, you may have needed to accomodate and deal with the addict in a variety of ways. Now that your family member is getting help, you are probably feeling alot of emotions. Confusion. Mistrust. Hope. Joy. Fear. Loneliness. Trying to sort through the reality of what took place in your family member versus how they are operating in recovery can seem impossible. If you are like most people, you want to understand addiction, learn to support the addict the right way, and prepare yourself for what lies ahead, including the "what if they use again?" We completely understand your concerns, which is why we feel it is VITAL that you participate in their recovery somehow.

Join us for the "Families in Recovery Workshop" to unlock the mind of the addict, and to understand what addiction is, where it comes from and how it can be removed through the power of our Lord Jesus. You'll hear from a husband/wife team who withstood the whirlwind of addiction through God's intervention. Today, their message of hope also brings much-needed education and wisdom about walking down the road of recovery. They will share personal testimony, but will also equip you with how to deal with the addict, either sober or under the influence. You will also come to understand how the entire family system gets affected by addiction, and how you can find the support you need.

At New Life, we are here to support the addict and offer them the tools to find freedom from addiction, but we also want to support you. Please take advantage of this valuable and informative event!

Meet our Family Counselors

James and Cecilia are an integral part of New Life Spirit Recovery. They both are gifted teachers, and have an incredible compassion and love for the struggling addict and their entire family system. However, their journey wasn't always filled with this blessing. James is an alumni of New Life Spirit Recovery, and when he first entered the program, his marriage was broken and his family was in turmoil. God began to working in Jame's life deeply, revealing the many strongholds and lies that had driven him most of his life. But as he sought help, his wife, Cecilia, was struggling with the countless ways he had hurt her, violated her and betrayed trust in their marriage. In her devastation, Cecilia reached out for help. Through her own point of view, she was doing it to help her husband, but what really happened is that she was given the beautiful gift of recovery as well. The compelling testimony of this couple offers a first-hand look at both sides of addiction, as well as the pathway that was necessary to lead to restoration.

Who Can Attend:
These workshops are designed for family members of a person going through the program at NLSR. However, our webinar option is available to anyone in the community in need of learning about addiction and recovery.
